Your Photographer
Joelle A. Alexis is a Haitian/Cuban portrait photographer based in Southwest Florida, capturing the essence of people through candid, editorial, and documentary-style photography.
She discovered her passion for photography in a class at Florida SouthWestern, which led her to pursue a BFA in Photography at Ringling College of Art and Design, where she graduated in 2021. There, she honed her skills and mastered the art of manipulating light to create striking, emotive images.
As a mother, she finds inspiration in raw, authentic moments that tell a story—whether in quiet intimacy or bold expression. With a dedication to natural editing, her work embraces the true tones and textures of her subjects, preserving their authenticity without unnecessary retouching. Through her lens, she creates images that feel honest, timeless, and deeply personal, celebrating the beauty of individuality in every frame.
